Originally from London, Kat moved to New York in 2014 to attend New York University (NYU) to study Philosophy, Mathematics, and Physics, where she wrote her honours thesis under the supervision of Samuel Scheffler and graduated in 2018.

She then began her professional career in private wealth management at Morgan Stanley, and later Countdown Capital, a venture capital firm investing in ethically-minded emerging industrial tech at the earliest stages.
